Lucy Stevens is a Leicester based artist, who creates multi-media artworks inspired by ornithology and natural science collections using drawing, painting, field recording and music. Lucy is working with Leicester Museums on a project, Colour Coded Birds, that explores and reinterprets the collection of birds stored by the museum as a record of Leicester’s wildlife. Guiding Lucy through the collection was Heather Southorn, who is the collections’ manager of the museum service.
